The Zipp 808 is faster than a tri-spoke and with 28% less side-force for better handling in the crosswinds. Hundreds of hours in and out of the wind tunnel devoted to develop the Zipp 808’s 82mm rim and optimize the position of the ovoid rim cross-section. For this year the 808 features a newly redesigned rim which is even faster, saving 9 seconds over a 40km TT! In addition with Zipp's new 88/188 hubs the 404 spoke count has been reduced, thus improving aerodynamics and saving weight. A perfect compliment to a Zipp Speed Shop 4 (Zipp 404) as your front wheel, which turns into an extremely versatile and well respected wheelset, previously called the Zipp 606!
